Case Study - Sarah Moore CH

TV Presenter, Sarah Moore, effortlessly creates a relaxed atmosphere in this charming Arundel cottage.

Summary

See how Sarah Moore, interiors enthusiast and presenter of “Money for Nothing”, has transformed a tired cottage in Arundel into a relaxed, luxury getaway packed with colour and character.

After a year of searching for the perfect property, Sarah Moore found a small one up one down in the historic market town Arundel, in West Sussex. If you’ve seen the recent movie “Wicked Little Letters”, 15 Bond Street features in the film (Edith lives next door!).

In the beginning...

The characterful little cottage was once the residence of bakers and servants of Arundel’s castle, but after years of neglect was in full need of a full renovation. The listed property is now unrecognisable. Thanks to Sarah’s eye for colour, the cottage has been lovingly transformed and is now packed with colour and personality.

The cosy hideaway opened its sage green front door to holidaymakers in June 2024 and has been warmly welcoming guests ever since.

Sarah describes her vision for the property...

“I wanted to evoke a sense of relaxed luxury, blending furnishings that carry the charm of reclaimed pieces with modern functionality. The space features top-of-the-line kitchen appliances and a sumptuous bathroom, all wrapped in a vibrant tapestry of colour and character.”

Sarah describes her vision for the property...

The vibrant colours flowing through the house reach their peak in a sunshine-yellow bathroom. Surprisingly spacious for the property, the bathroom was formerly a bedroom, giving Sarah the freedom to include both a luxurious bath and a shower from the Cast Iron Bath Company.

“I was keen to have both a bath and shower. We have a Petite Millbrook roll top cast iron bath in our own home so I knew that I could incorporate comfort and style from a seemingly smaller bath. I love the chunky, durable feel of the bath. It feels like a traditional old cast iron bath but is brand new and has all the modern touches."

Sarah describes her vision for the property...

"When tackling a renovation project, having knowledgeable and accessible suppliers is essential. The team at Cast Iron Bath Company was outstanding in assisting me with assembling the entire package. We worked closely together, carefully reviewing the checklist to ensure I had everything I needed. I truly appreciated being able to speak directly with their expert staff. Their support was exceptional.”

“We've received fantastic reviews from our visitors, one even mentioned it was the best shower they’ve ever experienced."
