The Cast Iron Bath Company, based in Yorkshire was set up by the architectural historian Lee Hunwicks in 2008. While working with restoration and interior experts on period properties Hunwicks realised the difficulty and expense of sourcing period baths and fixtures. Recognising a niche business opportunity Hunwicks alongside highly skilled craftsmen steeped in the traditions of ironwork, vitreous enamelling and hand polishing started producing classic cast iron baths.
Today The Cast Iron Bath Company employs eight people and produces the largest range of quality iron, brass and copper baths in Europe. The collection includes time-honoured styles such as the traditional double ended cast iron bath, elegant slipper baths and stunning copper and brass bateau styles and complimentary fittings.
Individual and detailed customer service is absolutely central to the company’s operation, and to avoid lengthy delays, there is always a large range of designs in stock. Baths are shipped globally with clients in the UK, Europe, Caribbean and the Far East.
The fashion designer Ann Louise Roswald has joined the Cast Iron Bath Company as Creative Director. Roswald is famous for her glamorous clothing designs and is on board to bring femininity and a modern twist to the company image and product range.
The Cast Iron Bath Company founded by Lee Hunwicks has impeccable design credentials, beautiful products, exciting plans and is eager to embrace new business.
